Limited Edition Carmex Moisture Plus Collection!

I had another opportunity to try these really cute Moisture Plus lip balms from Carmex. They are the same Moisture Plus lip balm, which has the moisturizing protection of classic Carmex with an added high-shine of a lip gloss, enclosed in a printed wrapper.

I use the Moisture Plus lip balm frequently, I love how it leaves my lips feeling hydrated. It's easy to carry and lasts much longer than other lip balms. I was immediately drawn to the "Chic" black and white houndstooth design. I have to say, given the description, this fits my personality fairly well. Though I do have aspects of the other personalities as well...they're all pretty and fun! Which personality are you? Take the quiz >>

I only received 4 patterns, "Chic" "Whimsical" "Fab" "Adventurous". They were all quite different, and rather bold. Some other fun prints could be polka dots, stripes, plaid, chevron, or even solid colors! I honestly don't know what kind of trait I could label myself, truly the first thing that comes to mind is "boring", but I'd love a lime green themed stick which is far from boring!

Carmex Review and Giveaway!

If you follow me on Facebook you probably saw that I received a special delivery from Carmex® a few weeks ago. Contained in my delivery were 2 products to review (yay!). I received a Carmex® Healing Cream and a Carmex® Healing Lotion.


So what's the difference? What do I think? Well here is a little background information to get you started: For over 70 years people have come to love the healing power of Carmex® lip balms. Finally, Carmex® Skin Care is here with a new solution to heal, soothe and moisturize your dry skin.

So what's the difference?
The Healing Cream (left in photo above) you can see is just a little bit thicker/stiffer than the Healing Lotion (right in photo above). I like the Healing Cream for my hands periodically throughout the day. It dries/absorbs quickly and lasts for a while. I think the only reason I need to reapply is because I frequently wash my hands to prevent any of these wintertime germs that are going around. It's not very greasy so I can go back to working, or using my phone without feeling like I have to wait for my hands to 'dry'. I barely notice the scent, it's quite pleasant! Especially being about 8 months pregnant, my sense of smell has been extra keen.

The Healing Lotion got SO MUCH use out of it! I started putting it on my legs because they were super itchy with some of the bitter colds were having this unfortunate March. Other lotions just weren't cutting it, but this truly gave me some relief. Also, I started rubbing it on my lovely growing belly. One of the ingredients is Vitamin E, which is supposed to help in the prevention of stretch marks. No, this was not specifically mentioned in the products but just a connection I made with outside information of my own. I have not had any stretch marks up until this point, and yes I was using another belly cream, however, I figured it couldn't hurt to use this too! A few weeks later, I still don't have any. It may or may not be related to the creams of any brand, it could just be good genes. Either way, it makes me a happy mommy!

Honestly these are a wonder feature of the Carmex® line of products. And I sincerely thank Carmex® for giving me the opportunity to try them out! All opinions expressed in this review are entirely mine, and I have received no further compensation.

Fun Surprise from Frito-Lay!

A while ago (I don't even remember when!) I signed up for the 'Frito-Lay Fan Progam'. It's always fun to try new products and receive freebies in the mail. Check out what they sent me above!! ^^

Not much to say other than I've been a long-time Frito-Lays fan. I buy Lays Chips pretty much weekly. My husband eats them every day with his lunch. It makes me feel pretty good that they are only made with potatoes, oil and salt--so I don't mind as much when my son wants to eat them too I know exactly what he's eating. I don't buy Sun Chips very often, but I do love them. My husband loves the Harvest Cheddar, but I really love the French Onion. Oh, and the Hint of Lime Tortilla Chips, yum!!! These are amazing with salsa. I'm definitely looking forward to enjoying these with my family!

Product Review: Orange Flavored Carmex Moisture Plus™

To answer the question....YES!!

I was so very excited to get the opportunity to try a possible brand new Carmex flavor, ORANGE! I'm a big fan of Carmex, and was very curious about this new flavor. So when I was given the opportunity, without hesitation I responded yes, please!

So for the last several weeks I have been wearing this every chance I got. It goes on smooth, with just a hint of orange. Nothing overpowering, just subtle enough to recognize it...just right. So I kept this with me throughout the day. I'd apply it when I needed it. But you know what...I didn't really need to apply it all that often throughout the day! It goes on and lasts, just like I have come to expect from Carmex products. My favorite would be when I would apply at night before bed and when I wake up my lips are noticeably soft. What I really liked was the fact it lasted through most of my day. Even if I was eating or drinking my lips still felt moisturized.

Long-Lasting ✔

So bottom line, I am VERY excited for the possibility of Carmex adding this flavor to their lineup. Great moisture and long-lasting and a great subtle flavor, what else could you want? Orange Flavored Carmex Moisture Plus™ has it all! Choosing Carmex is easy, but it would be difficult to choose between the original and this orange flavor.
