Limited Edition Carmex Moisture Plus Collection!

I had another opportunity to try these really cute Moisture Plus lip balms from Carmex. They are the same Moisture Plus lip balm, which has the moisturizing protection of classic Carmex with an added high-shine of a lip gloss, enclosed in a printed wrapper.

I use the Moisture Plus lip balm frequently, I love how it leaves my lips feeling hydrated. It's easy to carry and lasts much longer than other lip balms. I was immediately drawn to the "Chic" black and white houndstooth design. I have to say, given the description, this fits my personality fairly well. Though I do have aspects of the other personalities as well...they're all pretty and fun! Which personality are you? Take the quiz >>

I only received 4 patterns, "Chic" "Whimsical" "Fab" "Adventurous". They were all quite different, and rather bold. Some other fun prints could be polka dots, stripes, plaid, chevron, or even solid colors! I honestly don't know what kind of trait I could label myself, truly the first thing that comes to mind is "boring", but I'd love a lime green themed stick which is far from boring!

Carmex Review and Giveaway!

If you follow me on Facebook you probably saw that I received a special delivery from Carmex® a few weeks ago. Contained in my delivery were 2 products to review (yay!). I received a Carmex® Healing Cream and a Carmex® Healing Lotion.


So what's the difference? What do I think? Well here is a little background information to get you started: For over 70 years people have come to love the healing power of Carmex® lip balms. Finally, Carmex® Skin Care is here with a new solution to heal, soothe and moisturize your dry skin.

So what's the difference?
The Healing Cream (left in photo above) you can see is just a little bit thicker/stiffer than the Healing Lotion (right in photo above). I like the Healing Cream for my hands periodically throughout the day. It dries/absorbs quickly and lasts for a while. I think the only reason I need to reapply is because I frequently wash my hands to prevent any of these wintertime germs that are going around. It's not very greasy so I can go back to working, or using my phone without feeling like I have to wait for my hands to 'dry'. I barely notice the scent, it's quite pleasant! Especially being about 8 months pregnant, my sense of smell has been extra keen.

The Healing Lotion got SO MUCH use out of it! I started putting it on my legs because they were super itchy with some of the bitter colds were having this unfortunate March. Other lotions just weren't cutting it, but this truly gave me some relief. Also, I started rubbing it on my lovely growing belly. One of the ingredients is Vitamin E, which is supposed to help in the prevention of stretch marks. No, this was not specifically mentioned in the products but just a connection I made with outside information of my own. I have not had any stretch marks up until this point, and yes I was using another belly cream, however, I figured it couldn't hurt to use this too! A few weeks later, I still don't have any. It may or may not be related to the creams of any brand, it could just be good genes. Either way, it makes me a happy mommy!

Honestly these are a wonder feature of the Carmex® line of products. And I sincerely thank Carmex® for giving me the opportunity to try them out! All opinions expressed in this review are entirely mine, and I have received no further compensation.

Carmex Everyday Lip Conditioner Review & GIVEAWAY

I am very pleased to say I was once again given the opportunity to review another Carmex Product. As a member of the Carmex Blog Squad, I am periodically sent products from Carmex to use and honestly review here, on my blog. I have received no monetary compensation for my review of this or any of the Carmex products.

Carmex Everyday Lip Conditioner (Orange Flavor)

With the winter weather ahead, I was very excited to receive the Carmex Everyday Lip Conditioner. Right on the packaging you can see, it contains 13 moisturizers. This is different from other Carmex Lip Balms, this is very creamy. It squeezes out of the tube and has a slanted applicator to help smooth over your lips. Honestly for the first few uses I didn't feel like I was covering my lips adequately, but I've gotten used to applying it. Now I get a smooth layer of coverage that absorbs rather quickly, and still has that fantastic Carmex "tingle". I do use this a few times a day, but not as frequently as a standard stick lip balm. If I do continue to use it, my lips feel great. One potential problem, that I can't really explain; I was out over the weekend and I applied the Lip Balm before I left my house. While I was out my lips started to try out so badly that it actually hurt. I was frantically digging in my purse and I couldn't find a single lip product at all! So while I do like the product, I'm not sure it will be replacing my standar lip balms.

One more thing I just have to comment on is, the flavor! This Orange flavor absolutely tastes like a creamsicle ice cream on your lips. Great little flavor instead of some kind of weird medicated moisturizer.

What's really great about this, and all the Carmex® sticks, is it contains broad spectrum SPF 15 sunscreen and it water resistant. So feel free to apply as needed, all day long! It will keep your lips soft, protect them from sun in the summer and wind in the winter and even heal your chapped lips. The active ingredients in the Sticks are Octinoxate and Oxybenzone, two sunscreen agents. They also contain germ-killing menthol and phenol which aid the healing process of chapped lips.

Carmex Lotion Review & GIVEAWAY!

A few weeks ago Carmex® contacted and sent me the above lotions and creams. Just in time for winter! I received a 4 oz Healing Cream, 5.5 oz Healing Lotion and smaller .75 oz versions of both. I was happy to receive them, the smaller ones would be great to toss in a purse and the large ones are perfect for regular use! I'm actually keeping the smaller ones to use for travel, because I ALWAYS end up needed a great lotion when I'm away from home.

I think my favorite was the Healing Cream. It worked great on my hands, but also does wonders on my dry winter legs. A major plus was they are fairly thick so you don't need to use a whole lot to get good coverage. A small dot is plenty for your hands, and a larger dollop, not even the size of a quarter is good enough for a leg. Even though the Healing Cream is slightly thicker than the Healing Lotion, I enjoyed using them interchangeably. Both are awesome daily lotions that aren't too heavy and aren't at all greasy. You could put it on your skin and then get dressed without having to wait for it to soak in or dry. They fit naturally into my routine and I'm happy for that. I don't know what else to really say, just use them and you'll love them!

Green Mountain Coffee - Review & GIVEAWAY!

As a BzzAgent, a few weeks ago I signed up to be part of the Green Mountain Coffee® BzzCampaign. Then not long after that I got in the mail a package containing a bag of their "House Blend" as well as "Pumpkin Spice". It was one of the most exciting mail days I've had in a while! Fall has officially set in. While I am not a fan of the cooler weather, I do love the flavors of the season. How great was it that I was sent a bag of the Pumpkin Spice?? The other weekend I opened the bag and made myself a couple of cups. My entire house filled with the scent of Pumpkin Spice, my husband honestly thought I was baking a pumpkin pie. I have been so in love with the Pumpkin Spice that I haven't even opened the bag of the House Blend yet. I'm going to make a guess that it will be a delicious cup of coffee—so look out for that review.

It goes on very smooth and light, and is truly moisturizing. I find myself needing to use it less often than other lip balms. Plus it is a more slender tube compared to other lip balms, with a slightly slanted tip, so application feels a little more natural.

The kit included 2 NEW flavors of Carmex Click Sticks—Lime Twist & Vanilla. I am loving the Lime Twist! It was great for summertime. It is just as great as Original, with a great new twist on flavor. As always, both click sticks have SPF 15 protection and use beeswax for that awesome moisturized and smooth feeling. To be completely honest, I'm not a big fan of vanilla scented/flavored products and the Vanilla click stick was just too vanilla-y for me. So if you love Vanilla, I'm sure you'll love this! The Lime Twist has been in my purse/pocket/bedside for a couple of weeks now. Both the Lime Twist and Vanilla are available at Walgreens, Walmart and CVS. Ok, I know you may be thinking that insoles are just for the elderly or stinky feet...let me be the first to tell you that isn't further from the truth! Thanks to Bzz Agent I was able to recently try a pair of Dr. Scholl's® For Her High Heel Insoles. I work at a desk and don't walk around too very often, so I put them to the test at home. Making dinner, cleaning up, laundry, up and down the stairs, and chasing after a 2 year old...in my heels!! Haha, it was quite the sight. Very much a typical evening (excluding the heels!). I barely noticed I was wearing them.

I would love to try these out at a long social gathering where I would be standing and/or dancing. I just haven't had the opportunity yet.

Welcome to the very first Savings Cravings Giveaway! About 2 weeks ago I received in the mail Carmex Moisture Plus™ Sheer Pink and Sheer Peach Tint Lip Balms®. I've been using them as much as I can since then and overall, I really like them! And guess what?! You have a chance to try them for yourself too. Details below.

Here are some of my findings...I was so excited when I saw them! By the packaging I thought the colors would maybe be more 'frosted', so I was very glad to find out they weren't. Actually both colors are very subtle and look quite natural. The moisture lasts for a long time, however I did notice the tint rubs off fairly easily. I would not consider this a substitute for lipstick (which I never wear anyway). This was a great product for everyday use and actually felt slightly more 'put together' by wearing it.

The moisture was great! My lips truly felt hydrated and I didn't feel like I needed to reapply all that often. A few times a day is probably about it, when I was thinking about it. I never felt like my lips were so dry I "needed" it.

Another thing that was nice, it still had that "Carmex Tingle"...love it!
