Dollar Tree Coupon Trip

Not very long ago the Dollar Tree started accepting manufacturer coupons. Pretty neat, since everything in there is already really cheap at $1, why not save a little bit more! View the Dollar Tree Coupon Acceptance terms and Conditions here. Seems pretty standard, not many hoops except maybe the limite of 2 internet coupons per day.

As with all coupons, special attention to wording is very important. Most items in the store are smaller than normal products. For instance, check out this picture of Betty Crocker cookie pouch. It's hard to see in the photo, but this 'snack size' pouch is only 8.5 ounces when the coupon clearly states "14.oz or larger". So unfortunately, I'll have to pass on this one!

I went with high expectations of finding deals, but many of the products were unavailable. Darn! I ended up only getting 6 boxes of Swiss Miss and 2 bottles of Mean Green cleaner. Overall the process was really easy. The cashier didn't even hesitate or bat an eyelash and just keyed the coupons in.

6 boxes Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate = $6
2 bottles Mean Green cleaner = $2

- $1/2 Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate (12/09 SS)
- $1/2 Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate (12/09 SS)
- .35 Mean Green Product (1/13 SS)
- .35 Mean Green Product (1/13 SS)

+ .08 tax

OOP: $5.38
