Saved $27.89 at Giant!

OOP: $6.73

Giant has a promotion where you buy 7 of a list of items you save $4 instantly. The rules don't explicitly say it's a limit of 1 per transaction, they just say the items have to be purchased in the same transaction. I bought 14 of them items and (kind of) expected to get a total of $8 off, well only $4 came off. I asked the cashier (I was using self checkout), and she totally agreed with me that I should have gotten 2 $4 offs. The customer service desk lady wasn't so nice about it and told me I had to do 2 transactions. I said that would be fine, but I'll need my coupons back that I used. She rolled her eyes that I had coupons. So she just manually adjusted it off for me. Plus Klondike had a sale if you buy 3 for $9 save $3 instantly, which made them $6, so just $2 apiece. I wish they'd put coupons out for those!! AND They have their $1 coupon doublers this week too!!!
But I got:
(6) Skippy Peanut Butter @ 1.29 ea
(8) Pillsbury Cake Mixes @ 1.00 ea
- $4 Instant Savings
- $4 Instant Savings
(1) Turkey Hill Iced Tea @ 1.29

I got the Buy One Get One Free register coupon from Giant and asked customer service if I would be able to use two of the $5 checks, and she said definitely! They are considered forms of payment like a personal check, but only one check per can--which I was already aware of. Best part is I have 2 more of the BOGO coupons, but only one more check. The coupons don't expire for a little while so I'm going to wait and see if I get anymore in the mail.
